We are offering traineeships to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, starting in March 2023.
We
are looking for highly motivated and resilient individuals with mental health
experience OR relevant qualification
and a desire to work in one of the largest Improving Access to Psychological
Therapies (IAPT) services in the country.
The post starts early March 2023. The anticipated University
start is also March 2023 (date TBC).

Main duties of the job
You will work with patients with mild to moderate depression and anxiety. We need people with energy and enthusiasm, who are flexible in their approach and can work well as part of a large, busy team in a high-volume service and demanding environment, whilst studying for their PWP qualifications.
PWP Trainees will work within the italk service for
Solent Mind providing Step 2 low intensity Cognitive Behavioural (CBT)
interventions in the form of 11 telephone appointments, face to face,
webinars, group and online support for people with mild to moderate anxiety and
depression. You would combine psychological
practice with the very latest in low intensity CBT innovation, helping people
move forward using structured, brief interventions. You will receive
employment and a full salary, as well as one year of high quality
evidence-based training at the University
of Reading.
In addition to
the requirements in the Person Specification, candidates will have to satisfy
the University that they are capable of completing the academic component of
the training, alongside working within the service.
On successful
completion of the programme you will move into a Qualified PWP role and to a
permanent QPWP contract.
You will be based
in one of 3 hubs across Hampshire: West
(Eastleigh); East (Gosport); North (Basingstoke).
