An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre
Practitioner (Bank) to join our committed clinical team in the Day Surgery Unit.
The hospital comprises of a well-equipped
theatre & purpose-built procedure room, outpatients department, minor
injury and illness unit and x-ray.
You will be working with a compassionate team committed to delivering the
best in care and rated Good by the Care Quality Commission.
As we continue to expand the services we
offer, we are seeking a Theatre Practitioner on a zero hour contract basis.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Theatre Practitioner to join our skilled theatre team at Tetbury Hospital. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient and patient-centred care.
Provide flexible, as-needed support based on theatre scheduling and service demands.

Assist the surgical team during procedures as scrub, circulator, recovery or anaesthetic assistant.
Monitor patients vital signs and condition throughout the perioperative period.

Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.

Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration OR Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with a valid HCPC registration.
Previous experience in a theatre or perioperative setting.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
