Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Quality, Audit and Risk team to support the clinical quality agenda across the organisation. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Audit and Quality Improvement Facilitator to join Tetbury Hospital Trust on a permanent, part-time basis for 22.5 hours per week.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Be a Registered Nurse with current registration with the NMC.

Have demonstrable experience in a healthcare environment.

Have experience of overseeing quality, governance and safety of regulated services.

Be able to influence and drive change and improvement.

Have knowledge of quality governance arrangements and care quality commission standards and assessment.

To provide guidance and support for the Trust-wide clinical audit and effectiveness and quality improvement programme, working with clinicians and other healthcare staff in the promotion, design, implementation, and reporting of effective audit.

To work with the departments to develop clinical audit forward plans to meet national and local priorities and assist in monitoring key aspects of the plan.

To undertake specific projects in line with the Trusts strategy, objectives and priorities as set by the Clinical Audit Group, Quality, Performance and Risk Group and Medical Advisory Committee.

To maintain up to date and accurate records of clinical audit activity and of resulting action plans, to effectively manage re-audit and closure of the audit loop.

  • Audit Qualification or clinical experience of audit.
  • Project management qualification, i.e. PRINCE
  • Level 4 safeguarding adults and children.

Experience

  • Experience of safeguarding adults and children.
  • Significant experience of quality risk and audit agenda.
  • Experience of regulatory framework systems and processes.
  • Experience and understanding of clinical audit methodologies.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the NHS Patient Safety Incident Reporting Framework (PSIRF).
