Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) to join our Out of Hours team across Barrow-In-Furness and Kendal, on a salaried basis. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care during out-of-hours periods, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective healthcare when they need it most.
The Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) hubs provide essential additional capacityduring the out of hours period,offering extra appointment slots to help relieve pressures on both primary and secondary care services. By enabling faster access to diagnosis and treatment, the ARI hubs play a vital role in reducing hospital admissions and improving patient outcomes, particularly for those with acute respiratory infections.
Each site offers up to 20 hours per week to the successful candidate(s).
Monday & Friday evenings - 1830-2100hrs
Saturday & Sunday afternoons 1300-1900hrs

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a member of the clinical team. The post holder will be responsible for recognising, negotiating and implementing processes to enhance the delivery of care in the Treatment centres.
Patient centred care will be delivered by assessing patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems; initiating treatment, investigations, advice and management of problems using professional autonomous decision making processes, liaising when appropriate with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure safe and effective patient care.
The post holder will contribute to development and delivery of a high quality innovative service to the community through the implementation of evidence based clinical practice, supported by continual professional development and mentorship/supervision.
