Job summary

Senior Project Manager, under Shared Prosperity Delivering Programme.

Are you a skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering capital, revenue, and transformation projects using structured methodologies and proven techniques? Job description

Job responsibilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of a number of exciting projects under Rainbows Shared Prosperity Funding Programme
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with the organisations procurement, standing orders and governance requirements.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial strategic planning to feasibility, design, implementation/construction, and handover.
  • Build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, technical specialists, and partners
  • Apply your expertise in project, contract, and risk management to establish effective relationships and facilitate collaborative and efficient ways of working.
  • Ensure all works and modifications are fully inclusive and accessible
  • Ensure that all local requirements, regulations and legislation is adhered to at all times.
  • Efficiently run project boards following a recognised project management methodology
  • Report to the overall SPF programme board

This will be completed by:

  • Having a can do solution focused attitude with ability to deliver on the ground
  • Ensuring that all aspect of work undertaken is delivered within HSE and wider policy guidelines.
  • Utilising lead and continuous improvement tools.
  • Compiling necessary business cases and capital expenditure projects as required.
  • Capturing all requirements, project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
  • Managing project risks and issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of the project.
  • Compiling tender documentation, assesses tender returns and recommends to stakeholders the choice of supplier/design concept.
  • Ensuring the project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Managing approved project budget.
  • Providing regular status reports to key stakeholders.

Other duties:

  • Carry out additional tasks that may be required from time to time to achieve agreed service outcomes.
  • Undertake continuous professional development and training, constructively participating in meetings, supervision and other events designed to improve communication and assist with personal skills development within the role.
  • Ensure that duties are undertaken with due regard and compliance with the Data Protection Act and other legislation.
  • Maintain confidentially of all information and records relating to the work of The Rainbow Foundation and work undertaken for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

  • A minimum of three project management experience of Capital Building Works/Building related project management.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in financial management of projects and/or departments.
  • A minimum of three years' experience of managing multiple stakeholders
  • A minimum of three years' experience in commissioning, procurement, negotiation of contracts with; and management of external Consultants, Suppliers and Contractors.
  • Experience of dealing with planning dept and/or building regs within local government.

Desirable

  • Experience in public consultation
  • Experience of tendering via Sell2wales / online tendering portals
