Job summary
We are looking for a passionate and committed Patient Safety Partner (PSP) to act as an independent advisor to support our national Governance Team. By joining our team, you will play a crucial role in prioritising the safety requirements of our patients. Your work will focus on maximising positive outcomes and minimising any potential issues that may arise for individuals receiving our services.
As a PSP you will be actively involved in the design of safer healthcare systems at all levels within the organisation. This includes roles in safety governance, such as attending relevant committees to support compliance monitoring how safety issues are addressed. Your valuable input and appropriate challenges will contribute to fostering a culture of learning and change. Furthermore, you will support the development and implementation of strategies and policies that promote patient safety.
Main duties of the job
In your role, it will be essential for you to ensure that any committee or group you are a part of considers and prioritises the perspectives of service users, patients, caregivers, and families. You will champion a diversity of views, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of patient needs. Upholding compliance with relevant policies is paramount, and you will maintain strict confidentiality in discussions and when handling sensitive information.

Hours: 15 hours per month (flexible on hours/days worked but must be flexible to business requirements)
Contract type: Sessional
Salary: £300 per month (expenses paid)
