Main duties of the job

Speciality Doctor

Salary -£105,504 - £139,882 (pro rata)

Hours - 20hrs, 5 sessions per week (delivered over 5 days, negotiable)

Location - Mirfield, Huddersfield and remotely Permanent

Are you passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centred care to older adults? Do you thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where your expertise can make a real difference?

We have an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced doctor to join our team, supporting complex older patients in a community bed base setting.You will work within our multidisciplinary team, including ACPs, nurses, and other allied healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide medical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for older patients with complex care needs.
• Work closely with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and other allied health professionals and stakeholders to deliver holistic patient care.
• Lead and contribute to case discussions, patient reviews, and care planning within the multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with families and carers to ensure they are supported and involved in the care process.

Skills & Qualifications:

• MBBS or equivalent qualification.
• Full registration with GMC and licence to practice.
• At least 1 year experience in geriatric medicine or a related field, particularly in community hospital settings
• Driving licence and access to vehicle.
