Community Nursery Nurse - 28 hours per week
We are offering an exciting opportunity and are looking to recruit an innovative and motivated individual to work alongside the 0-5 Calderdale Public Health Early Years service health visiting team within Locala.
Main duties of the job
The Calderdale health visiting service are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic nursery nurse to join their team based at Horsfall House in Halifax.
The Health visiting team can make a real difference to children, families and communities and play a fundamental role in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, promoting child development, safeguarding children, preventing social exclusion and deprivation and tackling important public health issues.
As a qualified Nursery Nurse or NVQ equivalent you will be expected to work as part of a team delivering services to families within the Calderdale area and provide high quality care. A flexible approach to work is required.
A commitment to work in partnership with other children's statutory and voluntary agencies is essential in order to improve the outcomes for children, and in addressing health inequalities of the diverse populations we serve.
Experience of working with families demonstrating high levels of need is desirable but not essential as support, preceptorship and professional development is available.
Locala is committed to using new technology to support robust mobile working and the use of mobile devices to enable staff to work more flexibly to address the needs of the community.
