Job summary
The role is to support provision of the service across Kirklees, contributing towards the provision of the Children's Sensory Occupational Therapy Service in Locala, working as a highly skilled clinician, supporting children and young people, their families and other professionals, where a requirement for sensory assessment and advice/support has been identified.
Main duties of the job
Job Summary
To work as a highly skilled clinician, providing assessment and advice to support children identified as having sensory needs.
To provide expert advice, support and training to colleagues, carers and other professionals relating to sensory approaches.
To assess and provide reports to contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans, adhering to required timescales.
To provide reports at the request of SENACT (Special Educational Needs Assessment and Commissioning Team) for the purpose of tribunals and to attend the tribunal where required.
To work with the Operational manager in Locala and the commissioners of the service to develop the role, as required and as appropriate.
Working pattern: 30 hours per week (4 days). 2 days (15 hours) within Woodley Special School, and 2 days (15 hours) in the Children's Community Team, working across North and South Kirklees.
Salary: The salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
