Locala Health and Wellbeing are delighted to be partnering with The Kirkwood to offer a unique and exciting job opportunity for Staff Nurses who are interested in gaining experience in both community and clinical settings.
Staff Nurse / Community Staff Nurse (The Kirkwood & Locala) 37.5 hours per week
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will undertake a rotational position, with alternating six-month placements between The Kirkwoods In-Patient Unit and Localas District Nursing services.
Following induction, the post-holder will work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team in both community and clinical settings, providing skilled and compassionate nursing care of the highest quality in two different, but equally important environments.
As part of their role, they will provide assessment of patient care needs and development, following this through to the implementation and evaluation of care.
We are seeking first-level registered nurses, with experience of multi-professional working to join our teams and help us provide specialist care to patients across Kirklees. Ideally, applicants will have an understanding of hospice and specialist palliative care, although all candidates will be considered.

This is a two-year, fixed term position. Following the successful completion of the term, a substantive position within one of these areas will be considered.
