The opportunity
Locala provides comprehensive care and rehabilitation for adults in community settings. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rehabilitation Specialist Nurse to join our Orthopaedic and Frailty team based in the south of Kirklees. The role is suitable for applicants with a special interest in falls and vascular conditions with experience of assessment and rehabilitation in this area.
Locala Therapy Service provides high quality care to patients in their own homes, community rehabilitation facilities and care homes. We are patient centred and holistic in our approach and work with patients to maximise their independence.
This role requires a motivated and dynamic person to work within this established service and it is essential that you can work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience of assessing and treating patients who have a history of falls/ frailty is essential. There are opportunities to train staff within the team. Good communication skills and flexibility are essential qualities and the ability to clearly delegate to our highly skilled assistants. The role is community based and applicants will need to be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.
