Band 6 (if qualified): £35,392 - £42,618

Band 5 (development post): £28,407 - £34,581

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join the well-established and growing integrated sexual health services in Locala health and Wellbeing.

Main duties of the job

We have a vacancy for qualified nurse with proven leadership skills and a real desire to deliver excellent sexual health care. The post holder will be based in our Greater Manchester services primarily in Tameside with a view of supporting Stockport if required. Band 5 training post will be considered for those with a keen interest in developing within the specialty of Sexual Health.

  • The post holder will provide a high standard of care to patients accessing the clinical hub but will focus on the outreach/community delivery ensuring that those populations most at risk of sexual ill health are offered sexual health care.
  • The post holder will work collaboratively with team leaders and service leads to develop and implement community outreach clinics in a variety of venues promoting access for vulnerable adults and young people. This will include looked after children, those effected by substance misuse, sexual exploitation, those involved in the sex industry, men who have sex with men and those with complex health and social needs.
  • In addition, the post holder will work in collaboration with key partners across the district, targeting groups to further develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate a high quality, evidenced based, young person friendly, needs led clinic based and outreach locations in our Sexual Health Service.
