Job summary

As a Senior Programme Support Officer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our work and gain experience in multiple different aspects of employment relations within the NHS.

Main duties of the job

Joining the Employment Relations Team at the NHS Confederation will expose to you varied and high profile work you will be working in a team where we work with other national stakeholders to deliver an effective pay and contractual system that rewards and recognises non-medical staff in the NHS. Job responsibilities

You will be supporting the delivery of the employment relations programme of work including:

  • Providing secretariat support for national meetings of employer and trade union representative
  • Helping to gather intelligence from employers in the NHS about the issues they are facing in relation to pay and reward and identifying examples of good practice.
  • Project managing specific pieces of work
  • Supporting the team to respond to queries from employers that relate to the NHS Terms and Conditions of Service handbook.
  • Developing and maintaining areas of the NHS Employers website drafting information about latest developments in our work area
