Job summary

The role of Clinical Fellow has arisen to provide cover within the medical team at Rennie Grove Peace for a period of 12 months from October 2023. You will work within our inpatient unit at the Peace Hospice, Watford but with the opportunity to also see patients in the outpatient and community setting so a car and driving licence will be essential.

  • Hours: 40 hours per week plus regular on call
  • Contract: 12 month fixed term
  • Salary: £43,923 - £55,329 per annum (including allowances)

Main duties of the job

Youll be responsible for:

  • To provide a medical service to hospice inpatients.
  • Opportunity to provide medical care to outpatients.
  • Opportunity to work alongside the palliative care response team and gain experience in community specialist palliative care (dependent on experience).
  • Opportunity to provide clinical and educational support to medical students as well as nursing and AHP colleagues.
  • To contribute to wider MDT education and opportunity to work with the Medical Education team to deliver teaching to a wider group of health care professionals.
  • Acting as a Rennie Grove Peace ambassador within the community.

Essential

  • Have MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Be eligible for full registration with, and hold current licence to practice from, the GMC at intended start date.
  • To be up to date and fit to practice safely.

  • Ability to organise time effectively, create work schedules, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of taking responsibility for own actions and know when to seek advice appropriately.
