Main duties of the job
The role of Community Services Business and Operations Assistant is in place to support the Business Operations and Performance Manager (BOPM) - Community Hospice at Home and Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP). Whilst supporting the delivery of day-to-day Rennie Grove Peace community services operations and undertaking specific projects across Hospice at Home Community Services.
The post holder will be an active and well recognised Business and Operations Assistant within Rennie Grove Peace providing point of contact between Hospice at Home Community Services, other patient directorate services and the wider Rennie Grove Peace organisation. This will include communication with external organisations as required.

At Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, our unique care provides a lifeline of compassion and support to patients, carers, and families facing progressive life-limiting illness.
We provide palliative and end of life care support, including bereavement services, within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and our patient services are available to adults, as well as patients transitioning into adult services (16 to 25 years.) Bereavement support is offered for all ages to families of patients and those around them, as well as throughout the community, in schools and workplaces.
We are proud to offer care in the place that best suits the individuals needs, whether that's at home, in a care home, in a short stay in our inpatient unit, out in the community, or in our purpose-built Living Well Centre facilities. As a hospice care charity, we have offered this support, free of charge, for over 40 years.
Our staff team of 340+ includes a wide range of patient-facing disciplines plus operational support based in Watford, Tring, St Albans, Chalfont St Giles and Berkhamsted. The Charity is now one of the larger UK hospice charities, reaching a GP population of 797,037 of whom 75% live in Hertfordshire and 25% in Buckinghamshire.

You will therefore need to demonstrate your abilities in the following areas:
- Support the BOPM & ACP roles to ensure a professional and efficient service is delivered across community services ensuring internal and external communication processes are effective.
- With agreement complete any delegated work such as organising meetings, preparing reports.
- Support and co-ordinate the Community Services BOPM & ACP workflow.
- Be responsible for efficient and effective digital office management processes, ensuring patient and personal data quality assurance systems are in place and managing staffing rotas.
- Be the contact person and act on behalf of the Community BOPM & ACP, proactively managing incoming communications and distributing tasks as required and sharing internal news updates.
- Work with the BOPM & ACP to produce accurate and timely reports, statistical analyses, forms, information for clinical audit and governance, etc. as required.
