An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established Wellbeing
Team at St Michaels Hospice in providing holistic, person centred,
rehabilitative support to people living with serious, advanced illness
Main duties of the job
The Wellbeing Assistant role will involve working with people and their families in our outpatient Wellbeing Programme and on our inpatient unit providing individual and a range of different types of group support to people that aims to enables them to live as fully as possible until they die.
The post holder will work closely with members of the interdisciplinary team including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and spiritual support coordinators to deliver a range of therapeutic support.
We are looking for candidates with previous experience of supporting people with health conditions who have exceptional interpersonal skills and who are genuinely interested in empowering patients to achieve or participate in what matters most for them. You will have a positive, can- do attitude, excellent communication skills and the empathy, compassion and openness to be alongside people with life-limiting illness.
This is a permanent part time role (22.5 Hours) covering 3 days a week, availability to include a Friday is preferred but some flexibility can be offered.
This role requires a DBS check.
