We are recruiting for a Therapy Assistant to join our new Community Allied Health Professional Team based at our Outstanding CQC rated Hospice in Bradford
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 3 £24,937 to £26,589 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term 2 years
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week
Based: Marie Curie Bradford Hospice and surrounding community

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant to support the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams within the new Allied Health Professional community team. This role involves working in the local community, either in patients' homes or care homes, with patients who have palliative and end of life care needs.
Following assessments by Senior Therapists, the focus will be on providing ongoing interventions based on written care plans and patient-centered needs. The primary goal is to help patients maintain or improve their independence and quality of life in their own homes.
The post holder will need to liaise with all service providers involved in the patient's care as required. The role includes duties in the local community, either in the patient's home or care home, which may or may not involve direct supervision.
What we are looking for:
- Formal technical qualification e.g. BTEC or NVQ3 in health care related subject
- Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role or experience of working with people in a caring and supportive role
- Awareness of clinical governance frameworks and personal responsibilities within it
- Driving license and access to own vehicle is essential
