We are recruiting 2 Quality & Patient Safety Advisors to join our place-based team, these positions will be hybrid (home based and UK Place-Based Teams)
Salary:£44,550 to £49,489 per annum
Hours: Full time 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 1st June 2025
As a Quality & Patient Safety Officer, you will collaborate with geographically designed place-based teams, overseeing clinical governance and assurance processes. You will lead national initiatives according to the Nursing and Quality workplan, providing essential support in delivering quality standards and improvements related to patient safety, experience, and clinical outcomes.
Drawing upon your clinical expertise and knowledge, you will serve as a subject matter expert in clinical governance, quality assurance, and quality improvement. You will promote the identification and dissemination of learning within and outside Marie Curie, with a focus on devolved nations' policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Additionally, you will lead the development and review of specific Marie Curie clinical policies.
You will have the opportunity to advocate for quality improvement methodologies to enable continuous improvement and sustained change in clinical service delivery and redesign. This may involve leading or facilitating cross-organisational clinical quality improvement initiatives to contribute to the Marie Curie Quality Strategy objectives. You will also design and facilitate quality and quality improvement education and training for clinical staff as needed.
You will demonstrate an effective facilitation style that supports collaboration across Marie Curie and with identified external partners
What were looking for:
- Registered Nurse, AHP or equivalent.
- Experience of working in an end-of-life care setting
- First level degree level in a clinical subject or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
- Experience of leadership or management within a quality/ quality improvement role.
- Comprehensive experience of using facilitation, persuasion and influencing with internal/external stakeholders to drive quality improvement and change.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards.
- Able to interpret and analyse both qualitative and quantitative data and share with colleagues in a meaningful way.
