Job responsibilities

We are looking for 3 HR Advisors to join our HR team and have an impact in a mission led company. The successful post holders will support the HR Business Partners in the delivery of a professional, high quality HR service to the Caring Services directorate within their designated regions. They will provide professional advice to managers and employees on the full range of HR matters including relevant employment legislation and support the HR Business Partnersand Senior Human Resources Advisorwithin a defined Employee Relations remit.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with HR colleagues and the wider HR team to ensure that the services provided meet both the needs of region(s) supported and the wider charity objectives.
  • Preparing and distributing management reports and information to senior managers which will inform and assist managers to develop appropriate action plans.
  • Working in partnership with the HR team & Payroll Office in resolving customer queries within agreed timescales, proactively meeting their requirements and supporting colleagues in meeting the overall objectives of the HR Department.
  • Providing professional advice and assistance to managers on misconduct and performance issues and act as the HR representative at designated disciplinary/performance meetings.

Key Criteria:

  • Solid experience in a generalist HR role advising managers on best practice HR approaches particularly involving change management.
  • Recent experience of working in a similar sized, fast paced organisation with multi-site responsibilities.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal professionally, sensitively and tactfully with a range of ER situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with the health care or charity sector would be an advantage but is not essential.

Role 1 Homebased close to our Liverpool Hospice (hospice based at least three days perweek)

Role 2 Homebased within London and South East England. Travel to South East required.

Role 3 Homebased within North East and Yorkshire. Travel to Newcastle and Bradford Hospices required.

  • Associate/Chartered member of the CIPD or equivalent HR qualification or willingness to work towards with the proviso that they commence training within 1 year of appointment.
  • Five GCSEs (grade C or above) or equivalent, including Mathematics &
  • English Sound communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal professionally, sensitively and tactfully with a range of ER situations.
  • Ability to organise own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • IT Literate to at least an Intermediate level for Word, Excel, E-mail and Internet.

Desirable

  • Evidence of well developed customer service skills.
  • Sound current working knowledge of
  • employment legislation.
  • Knowledge of how HR can impact upon organisational efficiency and the patient experience.

Experience
