Main duties of the job

As a post holder you will need to provide a flexible counselling service to children and young people facing grief and loss and provide support and advice to patients and carers in order that they feel able to support children and young people in their family. You will be working alongside the Bereavement Coordinator to Co-ordinate the Hospices Bereavement Service.

Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 6 £35,392 - £42,618 per annum (pro rata)

Hours/Contract:Permanent Part Time 30 hours per week (week days)

Based:Newcastle Hospice

  • Degree/ Diploma in Child Counselling
  • Member of BACP.
  • Significant post-qualification
