Main duties of the job

This post offersthe successful applicant a wide range of palliative medicine experience. In collaboration with medical colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team, and dependent on experience, the post holder will play an important medical role in delivering care to inpatients and community and wellbeing service patients. The post also involves participation in training and education and activities relating to maintaining clinical excellence within the service.It may be of interest to junior doctors keen to establish a career in this field.

Job responsibilities

Title: Clinical Fellow in Palliative Medicine

Location:Marie Curie Hospice, Bradford

Salary:NHS Specialty Registrar pay scale £43,923 - £55,329 per annum (dependent on experience) plus on-call supplement.

Hours:Weekly hours commitment is negotiable (between 16 and 40 hours per week) plus 1 in 5 on-call

Contract:Fixed-term - 12 months

Closing Date:21st April 2024

Interview Date:30th April 2024

Start date: TBC

What we are looking for:

  • Full GMC registration, a licence to practice and at least 2 years of full-time postgraduate training.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Communication skills that are sensitive to patients and carers
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
