What we are looking for:

  • S/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or an equivalent certificate/diploma is desirable
  • Interpersonal/Communication skills
  • Emotional strength, patience, and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support.
  • Continued access to NHS Pension Scheme (subject to eligibility)
  • End-of-life care experience is advantageous,but not essentialas training will be provided and opportunity to learn on the job

  • Providing vital psycho-social & emotional support to patients and their families
  • Monitoring symptoms and assisting with medication
  • Keeping detailed patient records
  • Assisting patients in the performance of daily activities
  • Providing end of life and immediate after death care

You'll be required to carry out a range of care duties including helping patients meet their hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medications and keeping detailed records and emotional support to the patient and their families.

Our Fareham and Gosport service in Hampshire service is a multi-Visit day service based out of our office in Gosport. We support palliative and end of life patients in their own homes. Shifts are 08.00-14.00 and 16.00-22.00, 7 days a week. We also provide overnight care 22.00-07.00, 7 days a week. We currently have openings for both permanent day contracts and night contracts on a fulltime or part time basis. We would also be willing to consider staff who wanted to apply for Bank roles.
