Job responsibilities

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £22,383pro rata per annum with a signing-on lump sum bonus of £1,000 (pro-rated in line with contracted hours), plus a retention bonus of 10%of your basic salary until 30th September 2025 paid monthly after completing 8 weeks in post and induction training.

(A typical work pattern for night shifts you could earn over £30K per annum)

• S/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or an equivalent certificate/diploma is desirable
• Emotional strength and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support
• UK driving licence, & access to a vehicle are essential

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Health and Social Care OR an equivalent alternative Level 2 Qualification i.e. NCFE level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services, BTEC level 2 Health and Social Care.
• Functional skills at level 2 in numeracy and literacy or equivalent

Desirable

• National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Health and Social Care OR an acceptable, alternative Level 3 Qualification
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

Experience

Essential

• 6 Months care delivery experience (current) in a Health or Social Care Environment.

Desirable

• Recent professional experience of providing care and caring for dying patients.
