Main duties of the job

Marie Curie in London are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to operationally manage and clinically lead community services in North Central London covering the boroughs of Enfield, Barnet, Haringey, Camden and Islington.

Job responsibilities

Title:Clinical Nurse ManagerSalary:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, alignedwithAFC BAND 7 £43,742 - £50,056 pro rata, per annum (depending on experience)Plus High Cost Area Allowance (£7,746)Hours:Full Time 37.5 hours per weekContract:PermanentBased:Marie Curie Hampstead Hospice, LondonClosing date:16thOctober 2023Interview date:TBC

This role will suit an experienced nurse, ideally with palliative care and people/service management experience who will manage our community services and staff across North Central London.

The role will be primarily based at Hampstead Hospice with some travel required and the opportunity for hybrid working too.

The post holder will also join a regional on call for London (after 3 months in post) which is on average one week in seven.

What we are looking for:

  • A Registered Nurse with Level 1 registration
  • Recent experience in palliative care and ideally proven experience of managing a large clinical team
  • Understanding of the specific needs of patients in the EOL phase, together with a firm understanding of community working
  • Proficient IT Skills
