This role will suit an experienced nurse, ideally with palliative care and people/service management experience who will manage our community services and staff across North Central London.

The role will be primarily based at Hampstead Hospice with some travel required and the opportunity for hybrid working too.

The post holder will also join a regional on call for London (after 3 months in post) which is on average one week in seven.

What we are looking for:

• A Registered Nurse with Level 1 registration
• Recent experience in palliative care and ideally proven experience of managing a large clinical team
• Understanding of the specific needs of patients in the EOL phase, together with a firm understanding of community working
• Proficient IT Skills

Experience

Essential

• Recent experience in health setting and management of nursing/ clinical
• teams
• Service development and audit experience
• Involvement in risk management
• Involvement in complaints management
• Using feedback to change practice
• IT literacy Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and internet

Desirable

• Projects delivery in the health sector, involving a range of stakeholders.
• Community nursing experience.
• Staff recruitment and development.
• Project management experience

Qualifications

Essential

• RN, Degree in appropriate field of practice

Desirable

• Post-registration palliative care course
• Masters
