Title:Clinical Nurse Manager
Salary:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, alignedwithAFC BAND 7- £43,742- £50,056 per anum
Hours/Contract:Permanent , Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Based:Home / Regional Office base (will travel regularly within the catchment area - Somerset / BNSSG)

This is a rare opportunity for a senior clinical nurse - you will provide clinical leadership and professional line management, acting as a supportive and flexible manager to ensure the delivery of the Marie Curie strategy and service within the areas of the Somerset/ BNSSG.
Reporting to and working alongside the Head of Operations and Quality for the South West, you will manage a number of diverse clinical and volunteer-delivered services across Somerset and BNSSG, whilst, with the support of a Senior Nurse, daily line manage a team of remote clinical staff, ensuring that the right workforce is trained and available to deliver quality, safe care to patients in line with a supervision framework. This may also include leading on recruitment and selection and leading at investigations or disciplinary hearings on occasions.
You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams, District Nursing teams, the Marie Curie co-ordination centre, Senior Nurses, Marie Curie Nurses and Healthcare Assistants and Volunteers in order to provide a proactive and consistent approach to delivering patient care and support.
A confident communicator, you will act as the clinical voice for Marie Curie, participating in local NHS palliative care strategy/ End of life groups and networks to ensure awareness and recognition of the contribution of the MCNS, providing expert advice and information as necessary and also identifying future development opportunities. You will assume responsibility for the management of any clinical incidents and work within the Charitys clinical governance framework in order to achieve targets.
What we are looking for:
- A Registered Nurse with Level 1 registration
- Recent experience in palliative care and ideally proven experience of remotely managing a large clinical team
- Understanding of the specific needs of patients in the EOL phase, together with a firm understanding of community working
- Proficient IT Skills
- A full driving license with access to a vehicle insured for business use and a willingness to travel
