To be worked on a rota basis. May include weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

The successful postholder will maintain a quality, effective, consistent and reliable housekeeping and laundry services across all areas at Mountbatten Hampshire.

This service will ensure a pleasant, safe, clean and welcoming environment is provided for patients, visitors, employees and volunteers.

To carry out housekeeping duties to ensure communal areas, day services, staff offices and staff areas e.g. corridors and toilets, working to cleaning schedules and Mountbatten processes.

To be responsible for following Mountbatten guidelines for colour coded equipment and follow safe working practices including, but not limited to Health and Safety guidelines, Infection Control and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).

To dispose of waste following the correct standards and requirements, in accordance with infection control procedures.
