Job summary
We are looking for a Communications Officer with a passion for digital communications and a flair for creating compelling content who wants to make a difference to the way people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight experience death, dying and bereavement.

As part of our Communications Team, you will develop and continually refine the digital component of our communications, creating engaging content and campaigns to support Mountbatten’s communication objectives, while supporting the wider communication needs of all departments across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the communications team on website and organic/paid social media development and evaluation
- Delivering engaging social media content using automation tools and continually refining our approach
- In line with our brand guidelines, designing compelling and creative content to build an online presence
- Training other members of our organisation to increase digital knowledge and understanding of new platforms

The role will be responsible for supporting the Head of Communications and Communications Manager to achieve Mountbatten’s communications objectives across all platforms including press, broadcast, print and digital to raise Mountbatten’s profile and market its activities across its communities, with a key focus on digital communications.
The post holder will plan, deliver, evaluate, and continually improve Mountbatten’s digital engagement delivery through effective use of our channels and exploitation of other channels.
You will have experience of audience segmentation and social media automation, as well as an understanding of analytics to drive improvements in engagement and conversions. You will also have some experience in copywriting and editorial, writing for publications, print campaigns and media and public relations.
