Pilgrims Hospices has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Quality and Education Lead to join our Senior Nursing Team.

This is great opportunity to demonstrate clinical leadership skills as the post holder will be responsible supporting our Director of Nursing and Care in ensuring our compliance with CQC Frameworks and the ongoing auditing and maintaining of action plans to ensure our patients continue to receive the highest possible level of care.

To review, plan and implement training and education to ensure that as an organisation we are providing up-to-date, high standards of patient care. As a provider at the forefront of end-of-life care in east Kent, Pilgrims Hospices offers specialist training and development, both internally and to external partners, and the successful applicant will therefore have the opportunity to influence and improve practice across the local healthcare environment.

Main duties of the job

As the Clinical Education and Training Lead, your main responsibilities and duties will include:

  • To support audit and research across the charity including undertaking relevant clinical audits and supporting improved audit cycle.
  • Review clinical audits and undertake GAP analysis to identify and manage any development areas identified.
  • To support the work of the Quality and Governance Group to identify and support best practice ensuring compliance with the Care Quality Commissions requirements.
  • To manage CQC Evidence Frameworks and ensure this is evidenced appropriately against the required outcomes
  • The design, development and delivery of training programmes internally and externally
  • Supporting high-quality patient care through the provision of evidence-based training
  • Supporting and mentoring other staff in the delivery of training
  • Liaising with external partners to ensure education and training programmes meet key local needs

The post-holder must ensure that services are provided to a high standard, in line with mandatory and best practice guidelines.
