Job summary
The post holder will work as a part of the Children, Young People and Families Service representing Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind. Working part of a dedicated support service within the Children and Young Peoples Team. Youwill be required to deliver counselling to Children and young people, providing creative, flexible and time limited counselling providing advice and guidance to people accessing the project.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing evidence-based counselling to children and young people, including bereavement, anxiety and low mood, peer and family relationships etc.
- Work within the boundaries of service delivery and support to meet the requirements of the service needs.
- To create and maintain effective working relationships with other professionals, by providing advice and consultative support on emotional and mental health issues.
- Responsible for safeguarding children and always promoting the welfare of children and young people and operating within local policies and procedures.
