Job summary
This is a key leadership role within the Hospice at a time
of significant transformation, with the primary aims of supporting development
and delivery of the Transformation Plan relating to our Ward Services. The
Programme Manager will work alongside external partners, clinical and
operational teams to enable transformation in accordance with clinical and
organisation strategy. As an expert in
and champion of excellent project management, change and service improvement,
the post holder will need high levels of self-motivation, tenacity and
resilience. Success in the role will necessitate the establishment and
development of strong and effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation,
with the ability to challenge and effectively support the delivery of a complex,
multifaceted programme through the application of structured project management
processes and interventions.
Experience
of projects inclusive of construction and complex interacting projects in a
health care setting very much encouraged.
Main duties of the job
Day to day co-ordination of the programme work
streams.
Clear escalation route as to
concerns/variances/risk changes.
Adjusting programme plan in liaison with CEO,
programme director, Ingleton Wood partners and in line with programme
requirements.
Programme governance.
Deployment of resources across all major milestones
and managing the resource in line with programme requirements.
Liaising and managing the Digital resource in line
with the programme goals and reporting requirements.
Developing a key stakeholder map and engagement
plan.
Acting as key liaison point between key clinical
service teams, the service beneficiaries and any other key stakeholders to
ensure effective ongoing communication routes are developed to enable service
delivery, standard/guideline production.
Lead in partnership with Marketing &
Communications, communication publication and distribution.
Helping co-ordinate service user journey, linked to
virtual and actual ward models journey mapping so that their requirements are
comprehensively mapped across all groups.
Identifying other community and voluntary sector
organisations that will need to be involved across the care landscape as the
service models change and develop in line with the building works.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Define the critical success factors for the programme.

- Define the high-level programme milestones and risks and ensure key workstreams and specific project plans are clearly defined working with key stakeholders primary being Ingleton Wood and specific workstream leads.
- Establish overall programme budgets, resource plans and control expenditure, working with the Finance Director
- Direct the implementation of all tasks and timelines through to completion.
- Anticipate potential obstacles to success and develop innovative solutions in partnership with the operational programme team.
- Recommend appropriate action to address issues /concerns and implement mitigation plans or escalate as necessary.
- Develop key messages and effective communication material for internal and external stakeholders.
- Negotiate with programme stakeholders to stay within agreed scope and budget.
- Develop methods to assess the quality and efficiency of the work performed, including metrics and process improvements.
- Develop reports and updates as required within the Hospices governance meeting framework.
- Liaise with and maintain a positive relationship with Ingleton Wood programme manager(s).
