Job summary

We are looking for Palliative Care Assistants (HCAs) to join our clinical bank predominately in support of our community services team, but you may also work across other clinical areas as required.

Main duties of the job

As a Palliative Care Assistant, you will provide accessible, innovative, and influential care for people living with complex and incurable conditions in our communities as well as supporting their families and carers. You will participate in delivering healthcare to patients and providing emotional and psychological support, working in partnership with the patient and in collaboration with internal colleagues and the external health community. You will need to demonstrate experience of providing care in a health or social setting and hold an NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to be compassionate and sensitive towards our service users and colleagues. You should also have the ability to use IT such as Word and Excel. Please refer to the full Job Description for further details and requirements for the role.
