Main duties of the job

Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive, Medical Director and Director of Quality and Compliance to implement a progressive and sustainable clinical strategy to develop Compton Care services to meet ongoing and future demands across our diverse operation area. Provide inspirational and effective leadership to the multidisciplinary nursing, paramedic and supportive care teams in order to deliver exemplary standards of care to patients and families in line with our organizational values.

To ensure organisational Learning and Development needs are met and that there is a robust and ambitious approach to external education.

About us

Compton Care is a large, very well-known hospice in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. We opened our doors 40 years ago and have gone from strength to strength ever since. In recent years we have modernised our services, work force and premises to enable us to deliver truly responsive, highly specialised, holistic care to the communities that we serve. We have extensive 24-hour 7 day a week consultant led community services including a very successful virtual ward, rapid response, and care home model. Our ward is fully enabled to care for people with highly complex needs and our Living Well and supportive care teams ensure that people with end-of-life diagnosis can live the best life possible for as long as possible. We touch about 5000 people every year & growing. We have large NHS contracts as well as considerable financial support via the charitable part of Compton.
