About us Thorpe Hall Hospice is the only specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Peterborough for over 18-year-olds. We provide care and support for people who are living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families and loved ones.We have medically light beds for patients who may chose us as their Preferred Place of Death (PPOD) and see patients who require a short stay admission for complex symptom management before returning to their Preferred Place of Care (PPOC).

About the Role

We have full time roles available to cover rotational shifts. This includes earlies, lates, 12-hour day shifts, nights & weekends, long and short shifts to create a great work life balance. As this role is to cover a 24/7 service, we are looking for candidates who can offer some flexibility to cover working nights and weekend shifts.The successful applicants will play an active role within our multidisciplinary team. It's all about giving our patients the best possible quality of life. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs.You will work alongside Specialty Doctors, therapy staff, volunteers and other vital members of the MDT taking a holistic approach in providing the best possible outcomes for each patient.

Responsibilities - Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care using evidence-based guidelines. Provide medicines management, including administering regular medications and set up syringe drivers and IV medication. Maintain high standards of care delivery by working collaboratively within regulatory body standards and the Sue Ryder Quality Governance Policy. Act as an ambassador of Sue Ryder to service users and their relatives, colleagues, and members of the public. Have a good general knowledge of computer-based systems including SystmOne. Maintain all records in line with policies and procedures. Support students on placement at the hospice.
