About us
Sue Ryder St Johns Hospice is in Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire. We provide
expert palliative and end-of-life care in the hospice and the community. We are
here to help you and your loved ones, with everything from pain and symptom
management to emotional and practical help.
Main duties of the job
About the Role
Sue Ryder St Johns Hospice is here for people aged 18 and over living with
conditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease.
As one of our Nursing Assistants you will:
Communicate effectively and appropriately with individuals and their families
Carry out any essential duties within your scope as agreed in the care plan
Work to ensure the standard of infection prevention and control are followed
at all times

- To join us as a Nursing Assistant, youll need:
- An NVQ and/or QCF Level 2 qualification (or the willingness to gain this)
- Experience of working in a team
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word, the internet and email
- Strong communication skills and an empathetic approach
