Main duties of the job
The hospice has undergone a period of service development and we are now looking for an Occupational Therapist to meet the needs of our community patients.

Leckhampton Court is a Sue Ryder Hospice and is the only specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Gloucestershire. We support patients with life-limiting conditions to live the fullest life they can in both the inpatient unit as well as out in the local community, in peoples homes. This exciting role will involve providing care to patients within their homes and also in the hospice community hub building. Our community hub provides a welcoming space for patients to come in to and be supported by the MDT through a range of groups and clinics. There is scope for the successful candidate to initiate setting up and running occupationally focused groups. For our patients who need support at home, the successful candidate will be required to deliver expert palliative occupational therapy intervention within the home, liaising with and working alongside other community teams where appropriate.The successful candidate will join our team of dynamic, friendly and supportive specialists in the field of palliative care.
