About us

Leckhampton Court is a Sue Ryder Hospice and is the only specialist palliative care unit in Gloucestershire. We support patients with life-limiting conditions to live the fullest life they can in both the inpatient unit as well as out in the local community, in peoples homes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, near Cheltenham.

Main duties of the job

About the role

The successful candidate will join a team of three part-time physiotherapists, a part-time occupational therapist and a therapies assistant. Our team is dynamic, friendly and supportive and includes established specialists in the field of palliative care.

The successful candidate will be working predominantly in a community setting and in our Community Hub, but will also be expected to work flexibly, helping with cover in our in-patient unit and outpatient clinics.

This exciting role will suit an experienced practitioner with a broad knowledge base and experience of working in a wide variety of clinical fields, who wishes to specialise in the field of palliative medicine.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of palliative care interventions, high levels of technical competence, strong communication and inter-personal skills and the ability to work well within a close multi-disciplinary team.
