Job summary

Locations: Central Hub Brunswick Square, North Greenway Community Centre, South Symes Community Centre. Clinical staff will be assigned to one of the hubs but expected to work across all our Bristol premises as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our new Bristol service, Horizons. This is a vibrant new partnership delivering substance use treatment and recovery services across Bristol. Turning Point has partnered with Bristol Drugs Project to ensure continued local expertise whilst championing a fresh approach, alongside seven other local and national providers: The Nelson Trust, Hawkspring, One 25, Southmead Development Trust, Southmead Project, Wellspring Settlement, and Release.

Our partnership draws upon decades of experience delivering substance use services in Bristol and nationally, with specialist knowledge around diverse local communities, and the community insight which only comes from hyper-localism.

As a Clinical Services Manager youll have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support who are experiencing difficulties from drug and alcohol use.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Services Manager, your vital role will involve a wide range of clinical duties, including ensuring effective clinical pathways, completing audits and supporting safeguarding. You will also take the lead for aspects of the clinical governance within the service and designated key performance indicators. You will lead and support your team to deliver the same high standards that you do, by providing clinical supervision, completing appraisals, delivering training, supporting colleagues to work within the full scope of their skills and competency.

A portion of your role will be providing clinical interventions reflecting your high level of clinical skills and expertise.

As a member of the service senior leadership team, you will have a real opportunity to help shape service delivery and contribute to delivering clinically excellent services.

  • You will need to be a nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • An inspiring role model, we'll expect you to already have experience in a drug and alcohol setting. Building relationships with colleagues, commissioners and service users alike will be a big part of what you do, were also looking for a Clinical Services Manager who can confidently engage and influence people.
  • A working knowledge of safeguarding, substance use issues and legislation are key, as is the ability to recognise indicators of substance use and the issues that service users might face.
