We are
developing a brand new service in Bognor Regis for people with Mental Health
needs who can be supported in a non-clinical recovery focused environment. We
are seeking passionate, person-centred individuals to join our team as a
Recovery Worker.
Our service
delivers short stay supported accommodation service for people in crisis and or
discharge from hospital. At Turning point, we believe everyone is unique. Its
the moment when they realise, theyve made a small, but important, step
forward. Very often, that small step is the start of something bigger, but only
when the right support, advice and services are in place. Youll make a real difference
to their lives as you develop the personal, flexible and recovery-focused
support plans they need to help turn things around. Passionate about people,
youll support them to take control, improve their quality of life and face the
future with confidence.
Main duties of the job
The role is interesting, varied and at times can be challenging but most importantly rewarding!
The role will involve providing high quality, recovery focused support for vulnerable clients through their support plans on a 1:1 and group basis.
Typical duties of a Recovery Worker, includes:
- developing person-centred Support Plans and keeping accurate records
- actively engage residents in developing the service
- support the team manager with referrals into the service?)
- liaise with external agencies and Health professionals
- help manage any incidents or challenging behaviour
- providingsupport and guidance to people we support
- running group activities
- support with inducting new staff members
- upholding the cleanliness of the service to adhere to infection prevention control measures
- you will be required to work in a flexible manner on a roster basis including office hours, evenings, some weekends and sleep-ins.
- you will work alongside members of the service users circle of support, to enable individuals to be happy, healthy, and successful in achieving their life goals.

Previous experience in the mental
health sector is desirable butnot essential.
You
will havea genuine desire to support individuals in their recovery and
have a can-do attitude.

lives of the service users we support, such as: sports, arts and crafts, music
and cooking to name but a few.
