Job summary
We are looking for a creative individual with
digital design (Canva) and content development skills who is looking to gain
paid work experience and develop their communication and marketing skills. This post is 1 day a week 7.5 hours.
Main duties of the job
The Communications and Social Media Assistant
will be responsible for:
a.
Drafting and
creating social media content for Pennine GP Alliance.
b.
Using Canva to
design flyers, newsletters and other internal and external media to inform
campaigns and communications.
c.
Preparing and scheduling
posts for the companys social media calendar at ideal times, with input from
our Communications Manager.
d.
Assisting with
monitoring the social media channels and activities.
e.
Monitoring and
responding to online engagement.
f.
Updating Pennine
GP Alliance website content.
Supporting the wider
team in brainstorming ideas and curating social media content for events,
stand-alone campaigns, and other projects.

Pennine GP Alliance is a membership body of 20 General Practices working together to sustain & support the delivery of primary care to the people of Calderdale.
Out & about in Calderdale we are represented by over 90 additional clinical & non-clinical staff from Clinical Pharmacists to Care Co-ordinators. Working across the District delivering services & support to patients, Primary Care Networks & General Practices.

develop their communication skills, time management, attention to detail, and adaptability,
as well as gain some valuable hands-on experience in a lively and friendly office
environment.
This role would ideally suit a university
student or recent graduate of journalism, communications, marketing or English.

months but may be extended. The postholder will be expected to be in the office
(based in Halifax) one day a week between Monday and Thursday, with flexibility
on the specific day based on the availability of the successful candidate.
Initially this post
is offered for a 12month period but there is the potential for this role to become
permanent.
