Job summary

The East Lancashire Alliance is currently looking to recruit a HR assistant on a permanent basis to help support both the HR Manager and PCNs.

Main duties of the job

To provide an efficient and responsive administrative, organisational service to the PCNs who are part of the Alliances recruitment and management service. Alongside this you are also responsible for collating information for the zero hours and locum workforce for various contracts that the Alliance holds.

This is a role established to support the HR Manager and PCNs in carrying out day-to-day activities and to provide an element of cover or source of advice in the event of their absence.

About us

East Lancs Alliance of PCNs is a newly registered Community Interest Company, a network of networks which is composed of all nine East Lancashire Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in East Lancashire.

It is made up of a CEO, Chairperson, and the ELA Board of Directors. The CEO and Chairperson are accountable to the ELA Board of Directors which is made up of the 9 Clinicals Directors of the East Lancashire Primary Care Network.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Supporting the HR Manager

Collating information for personnel files ensuring all are CQC compliant

Coordinating the recruitment process for the PCNs from start to finish

Ensuring PCNs are kept up to date on information relating to the ARRS roles and pay scales/reimbursement rates

Answering queries from both internal staff and external staff

Working autonomously within your capabilities

Coordinating interviews and inductions for all new starters

Ensuring all IT equipment is tracked and coordinated, ordering ARRS IT kit when required

Keeping the Bright HR system up to date with employee details, adding new starters and terminating employees upon official resignation acceptance

Calculating the correct leave and salary for new starters based on their agreed hours and working patterns

Diary management of probation/appraisal meetings and others when required

Sitting on the interview panel for ARRS and PCN to provide support and advice for the PCN

Coordinating the internal birthday calendar

Liaising with workforce in relation to the individual documents that are required for the various services that the Alliance undertakes

Providing cover within the team when necessary

Answering the phones and other general administrative duties

Coordinating the set up of all new starters IT equipment and smartcards

Ensuring that the Rota Master system is up to date with all workforce information

Ensuring all jobs to be advertised follow the correct process and are kept up to date on NHS Jobs

Providing all required payroll information of new, existing and Zero hours staff to the HR manager

Requesting DBS checks through the Alliances provider.

Any other ad hoc duties as required by the HR Manager
