Job summary

The East Lancashire Alliance is currently recruiting a nurse associate on behalf of the Hyndburn Central PCN

This is a full time position and is open to newly qualified nurse associates.

Main duties of the job

Be responsible for delivering high quality, patient centred, compassionate care under the direction of a Community Link Nurse with a focus on promoting health and independence

Be an accountable professional

Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual

Carry out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction of a Community Link Nurse

Have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the individuals defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nurse Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed.

· Maintain a professional portfolio, identifying role and skill developments in line with the NMC Code of professional practice.

· Keep up to date with current national developments in nursing practice and policy

· Ensure NMC revalidation requirements are met

· To contribute to PCN wide/departmental policies, procedures and guidelines.

· Maintain a professional appearance in line with the Hyndburn PCN dress code

· Uphold Hyndburn PCN values and behaviours and behave in a manner fitting with the responsible position of the post holder, maintaining public confidence and reputation for delivering excellent care

· Maintain professional working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each and every person he/she comes into contact with in the course of his/her business.
