Provider Collaborative is a nation’s first, providing a ground-breaking
approach to primary care collaboration not seen elsewhere in England, we are at
the forefront of innovation and leading the way in Greater Manchester.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an aspiring
individual to support the work of the GM Primary Care Provider Board.
Main duties of the job
The period running up to July 2022 has seen a significant transition across the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care system, as we collectively implement the government White Paper, Integration and Innovation: working together to improve health and social care for all.
This transition will be delivered against the backdrop of the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, the operational and workforce recovery from the pandemic, and the underlying financial challenges that the GM Health and Social Care system faces with recurrent expenditure levels still higher than the collective funding we all receive.
Primary Care needs to be supported to develop the capacity and capabilities required to meet the needs of our local population, including support to adopt new ways of integrated working, working ‘at scale’ as part of our communities.
This post is with the Greater Manchester Primary Care Provider Board (PCB). PCB is the GM collaborative for primary care providers as part of the Greater Manchester devolved health and social care infrastructure and is hosted by Viaduct CIC.
The post holder will be part of the PCB Delivery Team and will provide comprehensive administration, business and programme management support to the work programmes of the Primary Care Board.
About us

initially established itself in 2015 and now forms a primary care collaborative
across the Greater Manchester ICS by bringing together the four primary care
disciples, general practice, dentistry, optometry and
community pharmacy from the sector under one body.

devolved governance and has the infrastructure and ability to assume a range of
accountabilities and responsibilities across the system. The scope of which includes
representing primary care, strategy and planning, outcomes setting,
standardisation, delivering transformation programmes and quality improvement.
This is a fantastic opportunity
for an enthusiastic individual to join the core delivery team supporting PCB
who are hosted by Viaduct Care CIC as our Portfolio Manager. This is an
exciting time to join the PCB as we move go through transition with the creation
of a statutory Integrated Care System.
The PCB is committed to system
working and would consider a shared role within the GM system for this
post.
