This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the North Tees Mental Health Support Team led by Alliance Psychology and to complete the post graduate Educational Mental Health Practitioner qualification if a place becomes available. The post-holder will be employed by Changing Futures North East and will work into the Alliance led Mental Health Support Team, alongside a wider team of practitioners. The Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner (AEMHP) is an active member of the team working with others to support the delivery of mental health and emotional wellbeing activities and to deliver positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.
The post holder will deliver a range of delegated activities as part of a multidisciplinary team to support children, young people and their families by offering age-appropriate information and advice on a range of emotional health, lifestyle and behaviour related issues. The role will deliver alongside the more senior members of the team delivering Care Planning Meetings, Whole School Approach, Training and Group Work.
The successful candidate must be willing to complete the postgraduate Education Mental Health Practitioner qualification if and when a space is available at a suitable university such as Northumbria University.

Supporting care experienced young people through a fostering service (underpinned by a bespoke trauma informed therapeutic training programme, changing futures through fostering) and through mentoring and befriending support
Reducing parental conflict servicesdelivering mediation and groupwork programmes, and supporting statutory agencies across England to embed a reducing parental conflict offer within their systems
