LCW are looking for as a Clinical Team Manager to join our team to drive forward the 111 Integrated Urgent Care Service at London Central and West Urgent Care Collaborative.
As the Clinical Team Manager, you will share our vision to ensure patients get the best possible care, in the right place, at the right time by continually improving access to integrated urgent care services. We are looking for a committed clinical professional with a passion to work our experienced team to manage the 111 contact centre and clinicians.
When on shift, you will have responsibility of the clinical systems, 111 clinical queue, patients, and direct reports. Working to a high standard, you will ensure the organisation meets its key performance indicators and work closely with stakeholders to make sure patient safety is a top priority.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Team Manager, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the 111 service, providing high-quality, evidence-based healthcare which is appropriate to the immediate needs of the patients.
The role of the Clinical Team Manager is to act as a senior qualified clinical resource to support the day-to-day delivery of the 111 service. The post holder will be responsible for leading on the delivery of the highest standards of patient assessment and advice, providing leadership and supervision of more junior clinicians, leading the service in Pathways training, supporting quality, performance and reporting requirements and delivering key HR and safeguarding requirements within the call centre.
You will demonstrate a commitment to a high-quality service, excellence in clinical practice and continuous professional development, which are all integral to the role and the development of the service.
The Clinical Team Manager will champion both the 111 Service and LCWs Vision and Values at all times through your professional behaviour and provide support to everyone else in the Call Centre to work to the same level.
The salary for this role includes a £12,000 per annum/pro rata recruitment and retention premia, with unsociable hours payment on top of the salary listed.

Operational:
- To act in a line managerial role overseeing the performance and support of clinical staff in LCWs 111 Service, including clinicians in LCWs regional sites, ensuring a smooth running of service as well as setting and maintaining quality standards and ensuring targets are met.
- To continuously explore and identify opportunities for performance improvement, including the formulation of performance improvement plans under the direction of the 111 Clinical Lead in collaboration with the 111 Clinical Auditing team, Training and Developing (T&D) manager and operations team.
- To lead on and ensure achievement of required clinician performance targets by efficient management and providing support to clinical staff to achieve National Quality Requirements (NQRs) and other quality indicators and service requirements or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Clinical Practice & Leadership and Management:- Develop/implement effective methods of monitoring and quality assuring the performance of the 111 clinical staff.
- Employ effective leadership, communication strategies and partnership working with clinical staff always.
- Ensure achievement of required clinician performance targets by efficient management and providing support to clinical staff.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure calls are answered in a timely manner and that where required warm transfer, call backs are performed within the agreed KPIs.
- Maintain clinical competency, skills, and knowledge through work online as a clinician for a minimum of 7.5 hours per week and providing support to clinical and non-clinical staff.
Training and Development:
- Support the T&D team in ensuring LCW meets obligations around training and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) required to remain compliant with the NHS Pathways Licence.
- Support, monitor and contribute to the development of a skilled clinical 111 workforce and facilitate a range of education, training and learning opportunities in partnership with the T&D team
