The Role
Working within our nursing team, the post holder will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and recovery practitioners, working across our adult drug and alcohol service. The role will include a wide range of activities including supporting us to achieve and maintain micro-elimination of Hepatitis C for our service, hospital alcohol liaison, conducting health and wellbeing assessments, supporting ambulatory (community) alcohol detoxification, and Buvidal administration.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a passionate and professional person to fill this position, key requirements include:
- A strong team player who can work together with colleagues to achieve improved outcomes for all those who use our services and reduce health inequalities amongst the most vulnerable and complex people.
- An ability to communicate effectively to clinical and non-clinical colleagues within the team, and in the wider community and partnerships.
- A good understanding of CQC and commitment to high quality service provision.
We welcome applications from nurses who do not have direct experience of the drug and alcohol field but are interested in and motivated to develop their skills in this area. We can provide training to support your development.
About us
Via Kingston is an established, integrated community service delivered across several provisions in the Borough. The service consists of both clinical and psychosocial elements and is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV and health interventions, OST prescribing, community detox, a recovery hub, a family and friends service, and service user involvement provision.
Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and alcohol related needs.
