Deputy Clinical Lead, Talking Therapies, Hybrid, Wirral

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced CBT Therapist, Counsellor or Counselling/Clinical Psychologist to join us as a Deputy Clinical Lead.

You will have proven leadership experience and will support the Clinical and Operational Leads with the day-to-day operation of the service, including clinical supervision, service development, delivery of KPIs and provision of training for staff.

Duties/responsibilities

  • Deputisation for the Clinical Lead in their absence at key stakeholder events including, strategic meetings and forums (both external and internal)
  • Supporting all aspects of clinical governance and quality assurance, including clinical effectiveness, patient safety and safeguarding
  • Oversee the supervision arrangements across the service
  • Deliver effective supervision, meta-supervision and case management to ensure the safety and quality of service delivery and meeting service KPIs
  • Commit to continued professional development by facilitating, delivering and attending training focused on clinical skills, therapy protocols and additional modality training, where appropriate.
  • Provide specialist assessments of clients referred to the service, including formulating and implementing plans for psychological treatment

Main duties of the job

About you

  • Qualified and accredited CBT Therapist, Counsellor or Psychologist with an accepted Talking Therapies qualification
  • Understanding and experience of conducting audit, clinical governance and clinical effectiveness procedures
  • Recognised formal training in clinical supervision
  • Experience of supporting substantial service provision and providing expertise through training and supervision
  • In-depth knowledge of both Low and High Intensity Interventions
  • Experience of supporting service development and expansion in areas such as community partnerships, working with other healthcare providers, perinatal, and long-term health conditions
  • Experienced and effective Leader within a Talking Therapies service.
