About the job
As a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with Everyturn Mental Health, you will receive full support to develop your clinical skills while studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Improving Access to Psychological Therapies in Primary Care.
We are eager to hear from Assistant Psychologists, Psychology Graduates, Social Workers, and Community Workers who hold a relevant degree.
This 12-month course starts in September 2024. Attendance at all University teaching days is compulsory, so it is essential that you can commit to this schedule.
Main duties of the job
You will spend one day per week studying at De Montfort University, where experts will teach you to deliver evidence-based psychological therapies for clients with anxiety and depression. Additionally, you will have one study day per week to focus on your learning and enhancing your knowledge. The remaining days will be spent working with our skilled team of clinicians to develop your new skills and gain experience. During this time, you will deliver low-intensity interventions and comprehensive psychological assessments to support our diverse range of clients.
The University course is recognized for its high quality, and we have a strong track record of successfully supporting our trainees through their studies. You will be guided by our highly knowledgeable and approachable managers, and you will receive support to further develop your skills and career with access to a range of CPD opportunities.
You will be employed by Everyturn Mental Health, Derbyshire. As a trainee, your working hours will be within Monday to Friday, 8 am 8 pm. You will be required to work one 12-8 shift per week and one 10-6 shift per week. The position involves hybrid working, with some remote work from home, and you may also be required to work in various locations across Derbyshire, including Derby and Chesterfield.
You will be recruited on a permanent contract and promoted to a Qualified PWP within our service upon successful completion of the course and meeting all other relevant criteria.
