Job summary

We are looking for a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join us in Derbyshire in delivering the best care we can to our patients.

As a part of this role, you will be required to provide some face-to-face contact in the Derbyshire area, as well as work 1. 12-8 and 1. 1-06 shift a week.

Main duties of the job

The PWP role is highly valued and seen as an integral part of what we do. Our PWPs provide disorder specific assessments and evidence-based low intensity CBT interventions for people with anxiety disorders and/or depression. We work to the stepped care model to provide the least intrusive and most appropriate level of care to meet the needs of the person. Therefore, our PWPs will offer a wide range of treatments, including telephone and online treatment, CBT programmes, psycho-educational groups, courses, workshops, webinars and one-to-one work. Adapting what we offer to make our treatments more accessible is a critical characteristic of what we do.

As you will already know, the PWP role is fast-paced and carries a high-volume caseload. We listen to our PWPs wellbeing needs and provide clinical CPD, self-care sessions and high-quality resources to enable you to support people effectively. The role is varied and constantly evolving with the evidence base and guidance and you can be a part of our evolution if you join us.

These roles are hybrid, with the expectation to work in our Derby or Chesterfield office 40% of the week.

Our Derbyshire Talking Therapies service are looking for Qualified High Intensity CBT Therapists and Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join the team and deliver the best possible care we can to our patients.

This is also a great opportunity for newly qualified HITs and PWPs that we would love to hear from!

We will be hosting two virtual events via Microsoft Teams on Monday 26th February at 2.30pm until 3.30pm and Thursday 29th February at 4pm until 5pm.

About you

Qualified High Intensity CBT Therapist

  • Hold a Post Graduate Diploma in High Intensity Interventions or other Post Graduate CBT training qualification

  • Hold BABCP accreditation or be working towards full accreditation.

  • Have a proven track record of delivering high quality disorder specific assessments, formulation and protocol-based CBT interventions that reflect local and national priorities and targets.

  • Able to demonstrate good therapeutic relationships with people.

  • Able to undertake thorough risk assessments

Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

  • Holds a PG or UG certificate in Low Intensity Interventions from a recognised BPS accredited PWP training provider OR holds a MSci Applied Psychology integrated with PWP qualification with dual BPS accreditation as PWP training OR holds a PWP Apprenticeship training qualification from a BPS accredited PWP training programme.

  • Hold PWP Registration (or be working towards) with BABCP or BPS.
