Job summary

The Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner supports the Service Lead and PWP Team Lead to develop the step 2 service provision within Everyturn Mental Health. The role provides an opportunity for experienced PWPs who are committed to developing their careers to share their interest and passion and to develop these qualities and skills in others.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities

As a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide assessment and low intensity interventions to patients registered with GPs within the region, drawing from CBT theories and techniques.
  • To offer rapid screening and assessment, informed by knowledge of the spectrum of mental health needs and risk factors.
  • Undertake appropriate clinical supervision on a regular basis in accordance with the relevant professional guidelines and policies
  • Provide clinical case management supervision to PWP trainees and PWP team
  • Assist the Team lead in providing clinical supervision and clinical case management supervision to PWPs when required
  • Support the PWP team lead in providing line management for PWP trainees and PWPs when appropriate
  • Ensure PWPs; including trainees maintain appropriate clinical records in keeping with service operational policy
  • Ensure that the needs of service users and their carers are at the core of the way the Group delivers services.
  • Support the effective and efficient deployment of resources to achieve agreed outcomes and targets.
  • Acts as a positive role model for innovation and a facilitator for change.
  • Considers innovation in the workplace an ongoing responsibility and welcomes change as an integral part of both individual and organisation development.

Holds a PG or UG certificate in Low Intensity Interventions from a recognised BPS accredited PWP training provider OR holds a MSci Applied Psychology integrated with PWP qualification with dual BPS accreditation as PWP training OR holds a PWP Apprenticeship training qualification from a BPS accredited PWP training programme. Hold PWP Registration (or be working towards) with BABCP or BPS. Are looking to work for an innovative provider who really values you, the role of the PWP and your career development. Able to demonstrate good therapeutic relationships with people. Able to undertake thorough risk assessments. Are an inspirational and collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to organise high volume workload to ensure effective prioritisation and delivery of objectives.
