Job summary
Aachen Brook is a nursing respite service which is a 5-bed service. The clients have complex medical needs, behaviours that challenge for people with Learning Disabilities.
No day is ever the same and the clients always make working in our service enjoyable. The main duties of the role will include supporting clients to meet their individual needs including personal care and assistance attending leisure local activities.
All the care we deliver is person centred to the needs of the individual and we develop lasting relationships with families and external multi-disciplinary professionals, who we work closely with to deliver outstanding care.
The complex care we deliver means there is always nursing support available with high ratios of staff.
During the days we have at least 1 nurses, and Support staff, management, at night we have a mixture of 1 nurse on waking nights and support staff.
Main duties of the job
We are now looking for an innovate hands on nurse (RGN RMN or RNLD) with an active pin to join our team. This is a part time post (22.5 hours) and would we want the nurse to work a combination of days and nights on a rota system.
